5. Impurity Removal: Apply the crude theaflavins to an MCl reverse-phase column and perform gradient elution with a methanol-acetic acid solution to remove impurities. Collect the theaflavins fraction to obtain purified theaflavins.

6. Purification: Apply the purified theaflavins to a C18 column and perform gradient elution with varying concentrations of methanol-acetic acid to remove impurities. Collect the theaflavins fraction to obtain high-purity theaflavins.
