The Main Ingredients of Mulberry Leaf Extract

The main ingredients of our Mulberry Leaf Extract Powder are flavonoids, sterones, mulberry polysaccharides, DNJ (1-deoxynojirimycin), GABA, etc.

(1) Assist in lowering blood sugar. A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial conducted by the Oxford Brookes Centre for Nutrition and Health showed that the addition of mulberry leaf extract to sucrose significantly reduced the blood glucose response and insulin response of the participants (a total of 38 participants with normal blood sugar) compared with sucrose alone;

(2) Help reduce blood lipids. Researchers fed white rabbits with a high-cholesterol diet to study the effect of mulberry leaf extract on atherosclerosis and found that mulberry leaf effectively reduced serum cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), and low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C) ;

(3) Lose weight. The researchers took mice on a high-fat diet as experimental subjects and found that the mice fed mulberry leaves weighed less than the control group, and microscopic analysis found that mulberry leaves significantly reduced the number of fat cells and lipid droplets.

(4) Antioxidant. Using nematodes as an experimental model, the researchers found that mulberry leaf polyphenols can improve their ability to resist oxidative stress, reduce fatty acid storage in the body, and delay their aging.
