Product Description
Hawthorn Extract Vitexin is derived from Crataegus pinnatifida Bge.var.major N.E.Br. or Grataegus pinnatifida Bge. It is well known that Vitex leaves and seeds are rich in flavonoid vitexin natural compounds, but because the Vitex plant is rarely cultivated artificially, there is almost no real large-scale cultivation of Vitex. Vitex leaves and Vitex seeds harvested by conventional Chinese medicinal materials are mixed with the leaves and seeds of Vitex negundo L. and strips of Vitex negundo L. var. heterophylla (Franch.) Rehd., not a single species of Vitex. Therefore, the vitexin extracted by manufacturers is usually extracted from the hawthorn leaves, and vitexin is extracted from the total flavonoids of hawthorn leaves through extraction, separation, purification, and other processes.
